(Chicago, IL) — Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is urging five major phone companies to offer call-blocking technology to their customers. The Attorney General announced yesterday that a new FCC rule clarification allows phone companies to provide the service. Madigan and 43 other state attorney generals sent a letter to AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and CenturyLink, requesting that they give their customers the ability to block unwanted calls.
