Michael Wacha improved to 11-and-3, despite giving up five runs in five innings. Trevor Rosenthal earned his 28th save.

Schwarber also slugged a two-run homer in the top of the ninth to force extras and doubled in a run in the fifth. Jason Motte got his seventh win and Justin Grimm secured his second save. The teams play a day game today starting at 11:35 a.m.
