As the budget stalemate in Springfield continues, Governor Bruce Rauner is reiterating his call for reforms. Governor Rauner says his proposed reforms, like to the worker’s compensation system and property tax freeze are vital components of any state budget that’s passed. He blames House Speaker Michael Madigan for the impasse and urges lawmakers to take action.
Speaker Madigan has said the reforms are diferent issues that should be left out of the budget negotiations.
