(Chicago, IL) — An Illinois Department of Human Services caseworker is being accused of taking over 300-thousand dollars from the department. Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced yesterday that Debra Moore faces charges of theft and official misconduct. Madigan claims Moore sold LINK cards to family and friends while working at the Woodlawn Family Community Resource Center in Chicago and added unauthorized benefits to their accounts in exchange for cash. During a nine-year period, she’s accused of adding over 300-thousand dollars of unauthorized benefits to ineligible recipients.
