Weather continues to be a challenge for Illinois farmers as we hear in the weekly crop report. The cool, wet conditions that were still with us last week were starting to cause some crop stress in some areas. State Crop Statistician Doug Hartwig updates us on Illinois corn.
96 percent of soybeans have now been planted, with 94 percent emerged and 33 percent blooming. 20 percent of the soybean crop is rated in poor to very poor condition, 32 percent fair, 40 percent good and 8 percent excellent.
