(Springfield, IL) — State lawmakers are still trying to put in place a short-term solution to the budget crisis. The House Executive Committee approved the Senate’s temporary budget plan yesterday that would designate around two-point-three-billion-dollars to operate certain state services through the rest of the month. The House is expected to vote on the measure today. Governor Rauner says he would not sign the bill if it got to his desk.
