(Chicago, IL) — An Illinois State Trooper is being charged after prosecutors claim he fired multiple shots into the home of his ex-girlfriend because she was with another man. Juan Lopez of Chicago is being held in custody on 150-thousand-dollars bond. The Cook County State’s office says Lopez had just broken up with the woman when he shot six bullets into her South Side Chicago home in April 2014. The woman and the off-duty state trooper she was sleeping next to were not hurt during the incident.
