A crash involving six vehicles lead to multiple individuals being treated for injuries on Sunday in Fayette County. Illinois State Police reports indicate a vehicle driven by 26 year old Jeromy Taylor of St. Genevieve, Missouri was traveling west bound on Interstate 70, near mile post 67, when police say he topped the hill and saw all the other united were stopped in a lane of traffic due to the construction. The Taylor vehicle then struck the rear driver’s side of a vehicle driven by a 42 year old female from Westville, Illinois. State Police says that Taylor’s vehicle continued on the shoulder striking four more vehicles on the drivers side. A passenger in unit one was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of unit 3—a 66 year old male from Cincinnati, Ohio–was also taken to the hospital for treatment and also a passenger in the 4th vehicle. The driver of unit one—26 year old Jeromy Taylor of St. Genevieve, Missouri—-was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
