(St. Ann, MO) — A man believed to have shot at an Illinois State trooper is in custody after being on the loose for several days. Gregory Nelson is accused of shooting after the trooper last Tuesday night during a traffic stop in East. St. Louis. Authorities say he was arrested Saturday at an apartment in St. Ann Missouri. Nelson is waiting to be brought back to Illinois on charges of attempted murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
