More signs of West Nile Virus are being reported in Illinois. Mosquito batches in southern and central Illinois have already tested positive says State Public Health Department spokesperson Melaney Arnold.
Last year in Illinois the virus was found in 50 counties. 44 human cases of infection were reported including four deaths. Arnold says the best way to protect yourself is to wear insect repellant and long sleeves and pants when outside at dusk and dawn.
