(Decatur, IL) — Governor Bruce Rauner took some heat Wednesday from citizens in Decatur while on another statewide tour promoting his “Turnaround Agenda.” He’s urging residents to convince their legislators to compromise with him on the agenda as lawmakers continue to work to pass a budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Although the crowd in Decatur was described as mostly supportive, Rauner was criticized for the cuts he’s proposed for a scenario where a budget doesn’t pass. Rauner continued to criticize Senate President John Cullerton and House Speaker Michael Madigan, and pointed out over-spending from previous administrations.
