Flooding, especially in the northeastern areas of Fayette County, a major problem from the overnight storm that moves thru the area. Fayette County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Kendra Craig reports this morning that a bridge northwest of St. Elmo is underwater and the road is underwater with 3 feet of water on the roadway. There were reports last night and early this morning of several roads in the St. Elmo and Ramsey areas that were flooded. The storm was mostly a rain event but there was some lightning that caused some issues around the area—including at the WKRV-WPMB studios. There are no reported power outages in Fayette County from Ameren but there are 8 power outages reported to Southwestern Electric in far northeastern Fayette County.
