The Lady Vandals scored early, but was held scoreless for the final four innings of their game Tuesday as they fell to Gillespie, 11-4, at home. The Lady Vandals took the early lead with a pair of runs in the first and tacked on to their lead with another run in the second for a 3-0 lead. Gillespie would find their offense in the third though, putting four runs on the scoreboard to take a 4-3 lead. The Lady Vandals would respond in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at 4-4. From there, Vandalia would be held scoreless as Gillespie would add on a pair of runs in the fifth and add five runs during a big sixth inning to beat the Lady Vandals 11-4. The loss drops Vandalia to 3-5 on the season.
