The new school year is upon us and thanks to the Tools for School program, a large number of in-need students in the county will be starting the school year with the necessary basic school supplies for their respective grades. Distribution of the supplies was held over three days last week and by the time the program wrapped up, 549 students had been helped by the program. In a release from Tools for School, Sally Miller thanked all those that had donated either money or supplies for this year’s distribution which was dedicated to the memory of Joni Springman who was a dedicated volunteer with the program for several years.
