In what has been the wettest June in recent memory, the month could not end without one more severe storm rolling thru. The National Weather Service in St. Louis issues a severe thunderstorm warning for the entire area around 5:20 pm and it was in effect until 6:45 pm. The storm rolled in from the northwest and brought 60 miles per hour winds on the front end, and then very heavy rains after that. Several limbs were down around the area, along with some trees down and that helped to lead to some power outages around the area for a while.
Pic is from Amanda White Turner and is of a tree down on Carlyle Road in Vandalia, that took down some power lines with it.
