Governor Bruce Rauner is announcing a 241 million dollar investment to help move freight in Illinois. The money will fund 23 Illinois Department of Transportation projects, recognizing the state’s important role in freight transit in the Midwest says Governor Rauner.
Projects include alleviating track congestion in the East St. Louis area which will help eliminate traffic problems with four highway crossings and money to separate vehicle and rail traffic next to Decatur’s Midwest Inland Port.
