A 28 year old Mulberry Grove man was airlifted from the scene of an accident on Sunday night, with what the Illinois State Police called serious injuries.
The accident occurred on U.S. Route 40 in western Fayette County, 2 miles east of Mulberry Grove. The accident occurred at 9:18 pm on Sunday night.
Illinois State Police reports indicate that 28 year old Derek William Spradling of Mulberry Grove was traveling west on U.S. Route 40 near Fayette County Road 100 East–2 miles east of Mulberry Grove. State Police reports say Spradling lost control of his vehicle, traveling off the north side of Route 40 and then back across the roadway to the south side of Route 40 where the vehicle overturned multiple times. State Police say that Spradling was ejected from the vehicle. Spradling was air lifted by Air Evac to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
