Local law enforcement as well as firefighters, EMS and Fayette County Courthouse staff were treated to lunch Wednesday as part of the Law Enforcement Appreciation Week. Lunch was provided by the Road Riders for Jesus Motorcycle Ministry and Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith says the support for law enforcement in the county is great.
Also as part of the lunch and as part of this week long celebration of law enforcement, fallen officers are honored and remembered as well. Sheriff Smith says the county has had four fallen officers and they continue to remember those officers.
Law Enforcement Appreciation Week continues through Saturday, May 19.
