Travis “Billy Bob” Collier, 25, of Shobonier, IL passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Patoka, IL. He was born on August 14, 1992 the son of Mike and Susie (Richards) Collier in Hillsboro, IL. He proposed to the love of his life Britny Gambill and they were to be wed.
Survivors include his devoted parents, Mike and Susie Collier, of Shobonier; loving Fiancée Britny Gambill, of Patoka; cherished brother, Jeff Elder and wife Jodi, of Vandalia; precious niece and nephew, Bailey and Brady Elder, of Vandalia; dear maternal grandmother, Wilma Richards, of Shobonier; and several caring, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Collier was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Collier; his maternal grandfather, Harold Richards; and paternal grandparents, Dean and Vivian Collier.
Travis known to most as Billy Bob, worked at All Steel in Vandalia going on 7 years. His friends were more like brothers and they knew he would do anything for anyone. Billy Bob was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting especially duck; and loved fishing in his johnboat for bass and crappie. If he wasn’t enjoying time with his family and fiancée Britney you could find him working on his demo car.
A celebration of life service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating burial will follow at Farmers Cemetery in Shobonier. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 and on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. till time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Travis’ honor to Day Macz Funeral Home to aid in funeral expenses.
