(Pittsburgh, PA) — Starling Marte hit a walk-off single in the 11th inning as the Pirates knocked off the Cardinals 6-5 at PNC Park. Pittsburgh scored six unanswered runs to overcome a 5-0 deficit and get the win. George Kontos got the victory for the Pirates, who have won three in-a-row. Marcell Ozuna went 3-for-5 with two RBI in the loss. Jordan Hicks gave up the winning run to take the loss for St. Louis.
(Chicago, IL) — Addison Russell scored the go-ahead run on an error in the seventh inning as the Cubs beat the Brewers 3-2 at Wrigley Field. Javier Baez and Anthony Rizzo had RBI singles in the first for Chicago, which has won the first two games of the four-game series. Yu Darvish struck out eight while allowing just an unearned run in six innings. Pedro Strop got the win and Brandon Morrow his sixth save. Dan Jennings was saddled with the loss for Milwaukee. Jesus Aguilar and Christian Yelich each had a sac-fly for the Brewers.
