(Springfield, IL) — A group of Illinois lawmakers is giving Governor Rauner until the end of the week to get it a plan on how to end the Legionnaires’ outbreak at the Quincy Veterans home. The group sent the governor a letter yesterday asking for his ideas by Friday. The governor’s office last week released a report that says it could cost 265-million-dollars to fix the problems at the home. The lawmakers want “complete and accurate” details from the governor himself. Thirteen people have died at the home from Legionnaires’ since 2015 and dozens more have gotten sick.
