(Springfield, IL) — Illinois is getting another tool to fight the dangerous side effects of synthetic marijuana. The Illinois Department of Public Health yesterday announced a gift of 800-thousand vitamin K tablets. The pills will help people who suffered from severe bleeding from the eyes, ears, and lungs restore their ability to clot blood. The IDPH says over 150 people have been treated for severe bleeding since mid-March. Three people have died from bleeding after using synthetic marijuana laced with rat poison.
