The Vandals wrestlers brought home 2nd place from the Dual Team State Tournament on Saturday. For the Vandals, it put the wraps on a very strong season
–The Vandals went 31-4 this year in dual team matches. That is the first time they have ever surpassed 30 dual team wins in a season
–The Vandals won their 24th straight regional championship
–The Vandals advanced to the dual team state tournament for the 20th time in school history
–With the results on Saturday, the Vandals have now brought home a total of 8 trophies from the Dual Team State Tournament, taking the championship in 1996, finishing 2nd this season and in 2007, taking 3rd place in 2002, and 4th place finishes in 2016, 1995, 1997 & 1998.
–This season the Vandals took 2nd at the CM Tournament, 5th at the Super Duals in Springfield, 5th at the Princeton Tournament & 2nd at the Litchfield Tournament
–The Vandals also brought home individual hardware this year with Jarek Wehrle taking 6th place at 106, Tanner Swain 6th place at 126, Garret Stewart 5th place at 182, and Anthony Enlow 3rd place at 285.
