(Chicago, IL) — The son of former U.S. Attorney General Bobby Kennedy isn’t buying a claim from a Republican candidate for governor that dads in the home will solve Chicago’s problem with gun violence. Chris Kennedy, who is running for governor himself, said his father was assassinated by a man with a gun, he doesn’t buy Jeanne Ives’ idea that a dad at home would have stopped that. Ives told a crowd in Chicago on Monday that stronger families would help cut down on the number of young people who are roaming the streets with guns.
