Mary Louise Robinson, 86, of Vandalia, Illinois passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Fayette County Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Vandalia with Rev. Fr. Zachary Edgar officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 5:00- 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Hohlt and File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, or Crawford- Hale American Legion Post #95. Mary Louise Robinson was born August 25, 1931 in Poseyville, Indiana, the daughter of Aloysius and Lorine (Baehl) Seibert. She married Ronald Judge Robinson on May 31, 1958. Mary Lou was formerly employeed as a Registered Nurse at Fayette County Hospital. She was a member of Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, Vandalia American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the National Council of Catholic Women (CCW). Mary Lou enjoyed volunteering for Caring and Sharing and Meals on Wheels and was also a Eucharistic minister at Mother of Dolors.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Robinson of Vandalia; sons, Paul Robinson of Indian Trail, NC, Brian Robinson and wife Kathie of St. Louis, MO, and John Robinson and wife Alisa of Frisco, TX; sister, Jeannette Kissel of Haubstadt, IN; and grandchildren, Breana Hales, Annie Robinson, James Robinson, Scott Robinson, and Benjamin Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Raymond, Alvin, and Joseph Seibert.
