According to the latest winter outlooks, it looks like Illinois is in store for more cold temperatures. State Climatologist Jim Angel says La Nina conditions in the Pacific Ocean will influence our winter here in Illinois. He says the forecast, at least for temperatures, isn’t pretty.
Angel says the forecast of colder than normal temps carries into February and March for the northern two-thirds of the state. Wetter conditions are expected in late winter and early spring.
