It looks like there will be some snow on the ground in this area for Christmas Day. The snowfall will taper off this morning, as we’ll see gradually clearing skies for today with a high of 38—melting off the minor accumulations of snow we have gotten early this morning. But, more is on the way. For Christmas Eve snow is likely, mainly in the morning, with a high of 31. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says we can expect new snow accumulation on Sunday of around one inch possible. And, with temps staying below freezing on Sunday, with cloudy skies, and then a low of 17 on Sunday night, it means there still may be snow covering the ground on Christmas morning. For Christmas Day we’ll see mostly sunny skies with a high of 33.
