(Carbondale, IL) — Southern Illinois University’s chancellor still cannot seem to convince students and professors that it’s time to change things at the school. Chancellor Carlo Montemagno yesterday tried to field questions from faculty members and student leaders who don’t want to reorganize the university, cut down on campus bureaucracy, and focus on growing enrollment. Montemagno says SIU leaders have been pleading for change for years, he says it’s the only way to save the school.
