(Benton, IL) — A former Illinois Correctional Officer will serve time for beating an inmate for no reason. The U.S. Attorney for southern Illinois yesterday said that former Pinckneyville Correctional Center officer Dustin Fleming pleaded guilty to punching, choking, and kneeing an inmate in October of last year. Fleming will serve four months in federal prison. He’s lost his job as an Illinois Corrections Officer.
