The work to bring the CEO Program to Fayette County continues. The CEO program is one that creates entrepreneurial opportunities for high school seniors in a year long course designed to utilize partnerships with area businesses and business leaders and provide an overview of business development. By the end of their year in the program, students will develop their own business and be part of a large trade show. The program has seen several years of success in many area counties and is beginning this year in Bond County. In Fayette County, the program would bring in Senior year students from four high schools–Brownstown, Ramsey, St. Elmo and Vandalia–with the first year planned for the 2018-19 school year. There will be an information meeting on the program held this evening at 6:30 pm at the Kaskaskia College-Vandalia campus. The meeting will provide more information on the program and will also allow for more information for investors in the program.
