Several Vandalia High School students are teaming up at tonight’s football game to help a Roxana football player. Allen Wright is a Roxana High School student and football player and he is battling cancer. And, several VCHS students are helping by collecting money. Spearheaded by VCHS Junior and cheerleader Cori Hipsher, with assistance from Vandal football Mom Shannon Sidwell, the VCHS Code Red students will be collecting money tonight to help Allen Wright in his battle. There will be a table set up at tonight’s Vandals/Roxana football game. And, for those that give a donation they will be giving away childhood cancer bracelets and Cori Hipsher has also made some gold childhood cancer awareness ribbons. All of the money donated will go to help Allen Wright and his family.
