(St. Louis, MO) — Chase Anderson fired a gem as the Brewers stumped the Cardinals, 5-3, in St. Louis. Anderson struck out five over seven innings of three-hit, one-run ball to improve to 12-and-4 for Milwaukee. Stephen Vogt homered and drove in three runs in the win. In order to make the postseason, the Brewers need wins on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a pair of losses from the Rockies. Jose Martinez belted a two-run homer for the Cards, and Paul DeJong added a solo shot. John Gant gave up four runs to take the loss. St. Louis has lost six of its past seven games.
