(Springfield, IL) — The list of soon-to-be former Illinois lawmakers continues to grow. South suburban Democrat Al Riley yesterday became the 29th Illinois lawmaker to announce plans not to run again, to retire, or to run for another office next year. Riley said he won’t run again. He’s in his sixth term and says he wants to continue his advocacy once he leaves the legislature.
