(Pittsburgh, PA) — A Jordy Mercer fielding error led to the winning run as the Cardinals rallied past the Pirates, 4-3, in Pittsburgh. Dexter Fowler hit an infield single with the game tied in the ninth inning, but Mercer bobbled it and allowed Randall Grichuk to score the go-ahead run. Jedd Gyorko tied the game in the ninth with an RBI-single. Juan Nicasio tossed the final two innings to get the win for St. Louis. Reliever Felipe Rivero blew the save and took the loss for Pittsburgh. David Freese clubbed an RBI-double in defeat. The Bucs have lost 13 of their past 15 games.
