After 12 years under the leadership of Deb Philpot, the St. Elmo School District is under new leadership as new Superintendent of Schools Julie Healy took over on July 1 following Philpot’s retirement. Healy comes to St. Elmo from the North Wayne School District and has been in the education field for many years, beginning as a teacher in the Altamont School District.
And Healy says her familiarity with St. Elmo and the area was a big draw in applying for and accepting the Superintendent’s position.
Healy says all the staff at St. Elmo have been great to work with in the last two months and she looks forward to learning more and being a part of the district. And we will talk more with Healy tomorrow on Newscenter.
