(St. Louis, MO) — Tommy Pham clubbed the walk-off, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Cardinals rallied past the Rays, 6-4, in St. Louis. Pham says the thought of hitting a walk-off homer crossed his mind before reaching the plate.
The Cards overcame a three-run deficit to complete the rally. Yadier Molina drove in a pair of runs, and Kolten Wong tied the game with an RBI-single in the eighth. Reliever Tyler Lyons came away with the win. Blake Snell tossed seven innings of two-run ball in a no-decision for Tampa. Lucas Duda, Adeiny Hechavarria, and Corey Dickerson all homered in defeat. The Rays dropped to 64-and-67.
