(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals gave up two runs in the top of the ninth and the Padres held on for a 4-3 win at Busch Stadium. Randal Grichuk got one back with a solo homer before San Diego finished off the game. Sam Tuivailala was charged with both runs in the ninth without retiring a batter to take the loss. St. Louis has dropped four-of-five.

Ian Happ homered and Javier Baez singled in a run for Chicago, which had won five straight. The Cubs lead the NL Central by three games over the Brewers. Chicago plays at Philadelphia tonight
