(Chicago, IL) — Strangely enough, when Illinois‘ top lawmakers don’t speak with reporters it’s usually a good sign. That’s why hopes are high after Illinois‘ legislative leaders yesterday only said they’d keep talking about a plan to pay for schools in the state later this week. Democrats in the Illinois House were supposed to try and override Governor Rauner’s school funding veto today. House Speaker Mike Madigan said because of yesterday’s progress he’s willing to postpone that vote until next week.
