(St. Louis, MO) — The owners of the St. Louis Blues are taking the St. Louis City Comptroller to court. The city’s Board of Aldermen have voted in February to give the team 64-million dollars in city funds to renovate the Scottrade Center, but City Comptroller Darlene Green refuses to sign off on the payment. Green said in a statement that she’s trying to preserve the city’s credit and that the money from the city’s general fund can go to better use elsewhere. A judge said on Wednesday that Green has until September 15th to respond to the lawsuit.
