Governor Bruce Rauner is signing a new law that protects preschoolers from being expelled. The measure prevents early childhood programs from kicking unruly kids out of school. Instead, they will need to document steps taken to help children with their behavioral issues. Governor Bruce Rauner applauds the bill.
Preschools will be able to temporarily remove a child for safety reasons, but must then work to find resources to help the student. The law goes into effect next year.
