School is about to start and it’s time for the Democrats to move forward on education funding. That’s according to State Representative John Cavaletto. Cavaletto says the Democrats have the Governor’s plan—that’s his amendatory veto of Senate Bill One, the Education Funding Reform Bill. And, Cavaletto says it’s either time to move forward with that plan or put out a new one.
Cavaletto says the citizens of his district don’t want to pay money for the Chicago Public Schools pensions, which is part of the money taken out by Governor Bruce Rauner.
