A Brownstown man and a St. Elmo woman both face charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine dating back to March of this year. 23-year old Skylar M. Dye of St. Elmo is charged with one count of unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine as information states that on March 2 of this year, Dye “or one for whom she is legally responsible, knowingly possessed with the intent to deliver 5 or more grams but less than 15 grams of methamphetamine or a substance containing methamphetamine.” The charge is a Class 1 felony which is punishable by 4 to 15 years in prison. Dye made an appearance in Fayette County Court on Friday and was appointed public defender Ryan Connor. Bond for Dye has been set at $20,000 and first appearance with counsel is set for August 16 at 11am. Dye remains in the Fayette County Jail on the $20,000 bond.
46-year old Bruce E. Evans of Brownstown is charged with two counts of unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine as on March 2 and March 10, count information states that allegedly Evans “or one for whom he is legally responsible, knowingly possessed with the intent to deliver 5 or more grams but less than 15 grams of methamphetamine or a substance containing methamphetamine.” Evans is charged with a third count of unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine as information states that on March 21, Evans allegedly “knowingly possessed with the intent to deliver less than 5 grams of methamphetamine or a substance containing methamphetamine.” Counts 1 and 3 are Class 1 felonies, each punishable by 4 to 15 years in prison while Count 2 is a Class 2 felony, punishable by 3 to 7 years in prison. Evans made an appearance in Fayette County Court on Friday and was appointed public defender William Starnes. Evans will make another appearance for a preliminary hearing on August 16 at 11am. Evans bond was set at $50,000 and he remains in the Fayette County Jail.
