Governor Bruce Rauner is threatening a special session if lawmakers don’t send him the education funding reform bill they passed. The measure is sitting in the Senate and Governor says lawmakers have until Noon Today to advance it.
The Governor says he will veto money in the bill for Chicago’s Teacher Pension system, leaving more money for schools statewide. He asks lawmakers to support that move and say it he doesn’t get the funding reform bill by his deadline of today at noon, he will call a special session to address the issue.
