We saw some strong storms roll thru Fayette County early Sunday morning. The storms prompted a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the entire region and then 2 separate Severe Thunderstorm Warnings covered Fayette County until about 5:20 this morning. The storms brought strong wind gusts, heavy rain and possibly some small hail for areas. As of this time, no reports of any damage.
Meanwhile, we are in for another hot and humid day today—just not to the level we’ve seen over the past several days. We’ll eventually see skies clearing later today with a high of 92 and heat index readings getting up to 100 this afternoon.
