Elizabeth Miller of Vandalia was crowned the 2017 Miss Fayette County Fair Queen which jump started not only a busy fair week to reign over but also a busy year ahead. Miller will be representing the county at various events and functions as well as the 2018 Miss Illinois Fair Queen Pageant held in January in Springfield and says it is an honor to be crowned queen.
One of the jobs as fair queen that Miller says she is most looking forward to is being a role model to the newly crowned Jr. Miss and Little Miss.
Like many queens before her, Miller is excited for the busy year being the face of the Fayette County Fair but will balance her queen duties with also being a college student working towards becoming a nurse.
Over the next several months, Miller represent the county by attending many parades and events and will also attend the Southern Zone Meeting where she will meet queens from many other counties and will prepare to compete for the State Queen Pageant as well.
