(Springfield, IL) — Illinois needs new ideas if the state is ever going to get a new state budget. Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno and House Republican boss Jim Durkin yesterday said Illinois is stuck because too many lawmakers in Springfield want to hold on to the policies of the past. They say that includes a dedication to maintaining the status quo in Springfield at the expense of the rest of the state.
