(Springfield, IL) — Governor Bruce Rauner will decide the fate of a proposed abortion law that’s split the Illinois statehouse. The state Senate yesterday approved a plan to expand what the state will pay for, including abortions for women on Medicaid. The governor has promised to veto the plan. Democrats say the proposal is a pre-election test for the governor.
