(Miami, FL) — Dexter Fowler’s two-run triple gave the Cardinals the lead in the sixth inning and then went on to beat the Marlins 7-5 in Miami. Jedd Gyorko went 3-for-4 with an RBI for St. Louis, which overcame a 4-0 deficit to sweep the series. Sam Tuivailala picked up the win in relief.

(Denver, CO) — The Cubs were held to three hits in a 3-0 loss to the Rockies at Coors Field. German Marquez went the first eight innings for the win and Greg Holland notched his 14th save. Kyle Hendricks fell to 2-and-2 with the loss. The Cubs have lost five of their last six games to slip to 17-and-17.
