Heavy Rains, with a severe thunderstorm also mixed in, led to multiple issues around the are last night and this morning. The area saw a severe thunderstorm come thru during the 6 pm hour on Saturday evening. The storm led to reports of damage in the St. Peter and Farina areas, and downed power lines led to Illinois Route 185 being closed for quite some time. The storm led to better than 500 power outages at one time and there are still 200 outages in Fayette County this morning. The heavy rains before and after the severe storm led to more flash flooding and more flooded roadways. Reports of flooded roadways came in from everywhere in the county last night. And, with the area seeing another blast of heavy rain this morning, those same roadways and more are flooded again this morning. More rain, heavy at times, is in the forecast for today for the area.
