(Springfield, IL) — A new poll seems to say most voters in Illinois are pro-choice and want their governor to be pro-choice as well. Illinois Personal PAC, one of the state’s largest pro-abortion groups, released the poll yesterday. The numbers say 73-percent of voters want to see abortion remain legal in Illinois, and 64-percent of voters want the governor to “protect reproductive health.” The poll comes after Governor Rauner said last week he will veto a plan to require the state of Illinois pay for abortions for women who are on Medicaid.
